Welcome to the web site of St.Paul's church.

We are located in the busy West End of London and as well as being the Parish Church of Covent Garden, we are also affectionately known as "The Actors' Church" because of our long association with the theatre community.
This beautiful church, built by Inigo Jones, has been here since 1633 and we are also proud to have an attractive churchyard where people can rest and find some peace and quiet in what can be a stressful and busy part of the city.

We have regular worship, concerts, literary and theatrical events, and seek to further conversation and local partnerships wherever possible and in whatever ways we can. As it says as you come in through the church doors:

  We seek to worship God as made known to us in Jesus Christ.
 We are unafraid to reason, laugh and explore.
 We know we need one another as we try to embody our faith in our  daily lives.
 We welcome people of faith, all who seek faith and friendship, and all  who doubt.

On Sunday 5th
December 2004 St
Paul's Church and
Grafarvogskirkja,
Reykjavik in Iceland
celebrated the
beginning of a parish
partnership at a
Eucharist entitled,
"Breaking Bread,
Breaking Boundaries".
People from the
Icelandic parish joined
the people of St Paul's
at the service and
agreed to pray for one
another, learn from one
another and befriend
each other in the faith
we share.
